My Birthday Party!

May 8, 2009

I already know what I am doing for my Birthday party…Even though it’s in November!!!

I am going to invite two guys and three girls, rent the ice and go skating, go out for dinner, then the guys leave at dinner, then the girls come for a slummber party. The slummber party will be fun because we are going to do each others hair and the watch like ten movies then have some pop and cotton candy then brush our teeth and go to bed.

I am tagging people to write a post on what they are doing for there birthday party! Here they are the top five:

The House Of Justice

What is it like in a Canadian Courtroom? What is done to make justice FAIR?

Today I’m going to tell you what it is like in a real Canadian Courtroom, what are the peoples jobs, and what can justice help you with.

Judge

The judge can decide whether or not the accused is Guilty or Innocent; that is only if there isn’t a jury. He/she listens very carefully to everything that is said by all.

Court Clerk

The court clerk is the judge’s official assistant. He/she prepares the courts schedule. He/she also calls the court to order when ready.

Crown Prosecutor

The Crown is a lawyer. He/she represents society. He/she will also present evidence.

Investigating Officer

He/she is the police officer that investigated the crime; there for the investigating officer is a witness.

The accused

The person who is charged from breaking the law. The Judge or Jury will decide if the accused will go to jail. and the judge will know how long for.

Court Reporter

The court reported records everything said. Sits close to the witness so he can hear clearly.

So those are the basic people involved, but I also have some objects that are involved int he court of law too; like:

  • Witness Stand – Where Evidence is presented
  • Prisoner Box – if the accused is in jail at the time of the court, they must sit in the prisoner box
  • Religious Books- If someone has a religion they belong to, they may swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth on there religious bible

How do we make it fair?

WE, can make it fair by not commiting crimes, not being bystanders, being winesses, and telling the truth. These are all ways we can make justice fair truthfull and make the world a better place.
